About Our Facilities

Our facilities meet the highest clinical standards. Your pet’s comfort and health are always our top priorities so we continue to invest in the latest equipment and training, and we consider the wellbeing of our patients at every step.

Facilities include up to date x-ray machine, ultrasound, endoscope and in-house diagnostic equipment for quick, accurate diagnosis.

A large outdoor dog run allows canine in-patients to exercise safely and enjoy the fresh air. Dogs can also be walked on the lawns at the rear of the hospital.

Air-conditioning is installed in all areas of our hospital, to ensure the comfort of your pet.

Ultrasound

Our ultrasound machine lets us visualise certain soft tissue problems more accurately than with x-rays alone and reduces the need for a general anaesthetic. Ultrasonography allows the internal structures of organs to be clearly seen, while x-rays outline the shape of these organs.

Endoscopy

Endoscopy allows for far less invasive internal investigations of the body than the surgical alternatives, through the use of ‘telescopes’, inserted into such areas as the nasal passages, upper airways and gastrointestinal tract. Gastrointestinal foreign bodies can sometimes be removed and biopsy samples can also be taken during endoscopic examinations.

X-Rays

Our x-ray machine allows us to visualise a wide range of problems, particularly those affecting the bones, but also conditions within the abdomen and chest. Our recently upgraded x-ray facilities are state of the art, digital and computerised.

This allows us to take better images more quickly (meaning shorter anaesthetic times) and also to manipulate and focus on specific areas of interest in much greater detail. These images allow all our vets (and specialists when needed) to view x-rays and collaborate on cases very easily.

In-House Pathology

Our modern in-house blood testing facilities let us obtain results quickly. Blood testing can often detect illness in your pet before they start showing any physical signs of being ill. This data gives us the ability to take the necessary steps to help your pet quickly and effectively.

Blood work can be crucial for effective treatment as it can help veterinary staff make immediate decisions to help your pet. Pre-anaesthetic testing can be routinely performed before your pet receives anaesthesia, ensuring that your pet is healthy enough for the anaesthetic and allowing us to make necessary adjustments.

Preventative care screening as a part of their annual health examination can uncover problems you would otherwise be unaware of before it’s too late. Early detection of problems can help avoid significant medical expenses and risks to your pets health. Blood tests can also help us monitor the effects of certain medications on your pets vital organs to ensure they are working properly, allowing us to make adjustments in doses if necessary.
